TERIYAKI STEAK 
1/4 c. soy sauce
2 tsp. sherry extract
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
2 tsp. honey
1 1/4 lbs. boneless beef steak, fat removed (veal steaks work well here, too)

In a shallow pan, combine soy sauce, sherry extract, garlic powder, ginger, and honey. Add steak. Marinate several hours, turning occasionally. Preheat broiler or grill. Place steak on a broiler pan or barbecue rack, reserving marinade. Broil, turning once and basting occasionally with reserved marinade until done to taste. Makes 4 servings.
