VEGETABLE BEEF PIE 
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 c. catsup
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. Bran Chex (or use bread crumbs
1 lb. ground beef
2 c. canned mixed vegetables (drained)
1/2 c. shredded American cheese

Combine first 6 ingredients in a bowl. Stir in Chex; let stand for 5 minutes. Stir mixture to break up Chex; add ground beef. Press into a 9-inch pie pan. Toss vegetables with 1/2 of the cheese. Turn vegetable-cheese mixture into meat crust. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.
