BLANCHE'S CHERRY BRUNCH BARS 
1 c. butter
1 3/4 c. sugar

Cream together. Sift together:

3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix well into batter. Put 2/3 of the batter in bottom of greased jelly roll pan. Spread 1 can Wilderness cherries or if you prefer blueberries or apples over top. Drop remaining batter over top. Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Drop with powdered sugar icing.
