GRANDMA'S CHILI SAUCE 
1 gal. chopped ripe tomatoes
1/2 c. chopped onions
2 green sweet peppers, chopped
2 red sweet peppers, chopped
1 red hot pepper, chopped
1 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. vinegar

Mix all ingredients but vinegar and cook for 2 hours, stirring often. Add vinegar and cook to desired thickness.

NOTE: It works best to do this in the oven at about 350 degrees F. to prevent scorching.
