Thank you so very much for this recipe! I just got done fixing them and they are great! I have been looking for a recipe that requires very little and inexpensive (what you have around house) ingredients. You are the best!

Great cookies! I used POLANDER-ALL FRUIT spread in raspberry and strawberry and they were DELICIOUS! * I also used half of the butter (only 1 stick!) to save on calories and they were still savory! Great recipe

U know what I added a little more sugar a little more flour and changed from butter to margarine and even added a bit more of that and they still turned out awesome. This is a very versatile recipe. Thanx. Also it was my 1st time making thumbprints.

I love these cookies - so quick to make, pretty, not too sweet. I add a 1/2 teaspoon of salt, but otherwise the same then don't flatten, just put a 'thumb' print in the center of the ball (which slightly flattens) and fill with jam - any kind - two different flavors/colors adds interest on the serving plate.

Very yummy recipe. I like the fact that it doesn't call for alot of ingredients. Followed the recipe, but added a dash of salt and also made a glaze with powdered sugar and a little water. I put the glaze in a baggie and cut the tip off and frosted them in a zig zag design. The end result was very pretty and they tasted great too! Thanks for sharing this recipe!! I will make these again!!

This was so simple that my 2 year old was able to help out. The one comment that I would add is that the cooking time would be helpful on the recipe. I had to cook for 20-25 minutes, which is a lot longer than I would have expected. I'm at high altitude.. not sure if this makes a difference. This was delicious and I have bookmarked and will be making again for Christmas.

Easy to make cookies, fine by me! They are currently in the oven and smell wonderful. It was so easy, and I didn't have to plan it! And only four ingredients?? Very Convenient! One thing I would add is a baking time, and how much water to use. I put too much water and they were gooey! But if you have this problem, just add more flour and sugar. I can't wait to see how they taste! I'm only 12 but I want to start cooking more lol. Very easy :)

Wow, this recipe only has a few ingredients. I'm going to add a little sugar to make them a little sweeter. I'll also add a small amount of vanilla and salt..but this is great! :)

These might be one of the best cookies I've ever made. They were so good I'm making them again! However, the jelly kept leaking out so make sure to put down some kind of paper or you'll have a big mess! I also added a little extra sugar, salt, milk, vanilla, and jelly....but they were still AMAZING!!!! Tip: You can dust powdered sugar on it.

This recipe was what my son and I had made together since he was little and then I made them every year for him on Christmas. I misplaced it in my move from Washington to California, after my husband passed, 5 years ago. My son now 29, will be surprised and happy to get his thumbprint cookies for Christmas again this year! Thank you for a wonderful memory from Christmas past. Hugs, Peace and Love this Holiday Season!

I added some orange zest & used apricot jam. Very delicious. I like the idea that you can cut down on the butter. I'm going to try it.
