SNOW BALLS 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg, separated
1 c. well drained crushed pineapple
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 pkg. vanilla wafers
Cool Whip

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks and mix well. Add pineapple, nuts and stiffly beaten egg whites. Spread this mixture between vanilla wafers 4 high. Let stand in refrigerator overnight on cookie sheet. Hold between fingers and cover sides with Cool Whip. Sprinkle with ground nuts or coconut.

Set on cookie sheet or individual plates. Spread top with Cool Whip and again sprinkle with ground nuts or coconut. Serves 15-16.
