SEASONED RICE "CAJUN" | |
2 c. raw rice Water or stock 1 c. chopped fresh parsley 1 c. chopped green onions 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. ground cayenne pepper 1 tsp. minced garlic or 1/4 tsp. garlic powder Place rice in a medium size saucepan with enough water to cover by 1 inch. Stir in all the seasonings, bring water to boil. Stir occasionally. Continue boiling until no water can be seen on top of rice. Reduce heat to low, cover, let simmer until rice is tender, about 45 minutes. Do not lift the lid until rice is done. Goes good with Cornish hens. |
