CARAMELS 
2 c. white sugar
1 c. white Karo syrup
1 (14 1/2 oz.) Pet milk
1/2 c. butter
1 lb. chopped nuts

Mix all ingredients except nuts. Cook over very low flame. It burns and curdles easily. Stir constantly until a hard ball is formed.

To test, drop small amount into cold water until candy forms a hard ball. Place in buttered dish or pan after adding nuts and stirring.

When cooled, cut in very small pieces and wrap in waxed paper or plastic wrap.
