PECAN PIE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 (18.25 oz.) pkg. butter pecan cake mix*
2 tbsp. water
2 c. chopped pecans
2 eggs
1/2 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1 c. white sugar
1 c. light corn syrup

Preheat oven to 325°F. Reserve 3/4 cup cake mix for second layer. Set aside.

For the first layer: In a large bowl, combine 1/2 cup butter, brown sugar, cake mix (minus 3/4 cup), water, pecans and 2 eggs. Mix well. Spread batter into 10 X 15 inch pan.

Bake at 325°F for 20 minutes.

For the second layer: In a large bowl, combine 1/2 cup butter, 2 eggs, milk, sugar, corn syrup and reserved 3/4 cup cake mix. Mix well and pour over first layer.

Bake at 325°F for 35 to 30 minutes.

*Note: Yellow cake mix may be substituted.
