DAVIS ISLAND CHEESE CAKE 
Allow all ingredients to come to room temperature. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

CRUST:

1 1/3 c. graham cracker crumbs
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 stick + 1 tbsp. real butter, melted

Mix; press into spring form pan. Chill while making next layer.

FILLING:

1 lb. cream cheese
1/2 c. sugar
2 lg. eggs
1 tsp. real vanilla

Mix thoroughly; some small lumps will remain. Pour over crust. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. (Watch carefully.) Cool for 30 minutes.

TOPPING:

Remove cake and reset oven to 450 degrees.
1 pt. sour cream
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. real vanilla

Mix; spread carefully on top of cake. Bake 4 minutes. Cool one hour or more to room temperature. Cover with plastic wrap. Chill 12 hours.
