BEEF BURGUNDY POT ROAST 
#1 In heavy large pot, brown 4 to 5 pounds round bone roast.

2 lg. potatoes
4 lg. carrots
1/2 head cabbage
6 cloves garlic
1/2 c. burgundy wine

On top of vegetables pour 1 package Lipton onion soup mix. Add 1 cup water. Put lid on and cook all day on lowest possible heat.

#2 For faster preparation: cook meat faster (check often for moisture in pan) and add vegetables the last hour of cooking. Other vegetables can be added to the recipe.

Note: If you cook this by #1 method it will taste like a crock pot meal. A great winter day meal cooked over your wood burning fire place.
