SOUTHERN BARBECUE CHICKEN 
chicken parts

Sauce:

4 c. cider vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
5 tsp. red pepper flakes
3 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. black pepper
1 c. ketchup
1 tbsp. season salt
1 c. water

Mix ingredients for the sauce in a large pot or Dutch oven. Bring to a boil, then simmer to blend flavors. Boil chicken parts until almost done. (You can put them on the grill for a few minutes afterwards until lightly browned.) Add chicken parts to barbecue sauce and simmer until chicken is very tender and starting to fall apart.
