PEANUT BRITTLE
2 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 c. light corn syrup
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. raw peanuts
1 tsp. baking soda

Cook together the sugar, water, syrup and salt until mixture forms a hard ball in cold water. Add the peanuts and stir until they are thoroughly parched. Remove from the heat and add baking soda. Pour onto a greased marble slab until cold. Stretch the slightly cooled peanut brittle with buttered hands so there is more to go around for the family and friends.
