CREAM OF BROCCOLI SOUP 
1 1/2 c. chicken broth
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 c. chopped broccoli
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 sm. bay leaf
Dash garlic powder and pepper
1 c. milk

Combine broth, onion, thyme, broccoli, bay leaf, and garlic powder in saucepan. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes or until broccoli is tender. Remove bay leaf. Put broccoli in blender until smooth. Melt butter, flour, salt, pepper and milk; mix and cook until thickened. Stir in and gently cook until heated through. 4 servings.
