GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
6 med. potatoes
1 med. onion, diced
1/3 c. diced bacon
2/3 c. vinegar
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. diced green pepper
1/3 c. water
1 tbsp. flour
1/3 c. celery
Salt and pepper to taste

Cook potatoes with skins on. Skin and dice. Mix in onion, salt, pepper, green pepper and celery. Cook bacon until crisp. Add vinegar, water and sugar. Cook about 5 minutes. Add thickening made with flour and water and cook until slightly thickened. Pour over potatoes and allow to stand awhile before serving.
