FREEZER CHILI SAUCE | |
20 lg. tomatoes, mashed 5 onions, diced 4-5 red hot peppers, chopped (also 6-8 seeds from pepper) 1 qt. vinegar 4 1/2 c. sugar 1 tbsp. salt Boil tomatoes 20 minutes, then add all other ingredients. Simmer at least 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours, stirring very frequently, particularly at the end of cooking. When mixture is thickened, pour into containers for freezing when cooled. (Peppers, onions and tomatoes may be chopped in the blender.) |
