COLCANNON 
1 lb. cabbage
1 tsp. salt
2 lb. potatoes
2 med. leeks, washed and sliced
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. mace
Salt and pepper to taste

Boil cabbage until tender (12 to 15 minutes). Drain off water and chop cabbage. Boil potatoes until tender, drain. Put leeks in pan, cover with milk, bring close to boil. Turn heat down and simmer until tender. Add mace, garlic, and salt and pepper to potatoes and mash. Add leeks with milk to potatoes, mash again. Add more milk if necessary to make smooth. Add cabbage to mixture also add butter. Put in ovenproof dish. Place under broiler to brown. Serve hot!!
