WASSAIL BOWL WITH BAKED APPLES
3 lg. cooking apples, cored
1 gallon apple cider
6 whole cloves
2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemonade concentrate
1 (6 oz.) can frozen orange juice concentrate
1 c. packed brown sugar
Sugar
Short cinnamon sticks

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut apples in half crosswise and place, cut side down in 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Bake 25 minutes or until the apple halves are fork-tender. Meanwhile, in covered 6 quart saucepan over low heat, simmer 2 cups apple cider, cloves, and nutmeg 10 minutes. Add remaining apple cider, undiluted lemonade and orange juice concentrates, and brown sugar; heat until hot, but not boiling, stirring occasionally. Pour hot cider mixture from saucepan into heated large punch bowl. Float apples, skin side up, in punch; sprinkle tops with a little sugar. To serve, ladle about 1/2 cup of hot punch into each punch cup; add a short cinnamon stick to each serving.
