HERB GLAZED BBQ TURKEY OR
CHICKEN
 
2-3 lb. turkey or chicken
1/3 c. vegetable oil
2 tbsp. light corn syrup
2 tbsp. minced onion
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. dried basil
1/4 tsp. marjoram
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. garlic salt

Place meat in heavy duty aluminum foil; wrap loosely. Grill over hot coals 6-8 inches from heat in covered kettle cooker, turning occasionally, for 30 minutes. Mix all remaining ingredients together. Open foil and baste with glaze. Grill with foil pen, basting occasionally, for about an hour. To bake: wrap basted roast loosely in foil and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes per pound.
