CHRISTMAS JEWELS 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
3 hard-cooked egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
Red jelly, strawberry, or currant

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Break up egg yolks and beat into creamed mixture. Blend well. Add vanilla and gradually stir in flour. Chill for 1 hour. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Make a small dent in the top with back of teaspoon. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove, fill with jelly, and return to oven for 1 to 2 minutes.
