CHRISTMAS JEWELS 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. white sugar
3 hard-cooked egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
Strawberry or other jam or jelly

Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Break up egg yolks and beat into creamed mixture; blend well. Add vanilla. Gradually stir in flour. Chill 1 hour. Shape dough in 1-inch balls and place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Make small dent on top of each cookie with finger.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and fill dents with jelly. Return to oven and bake 1 or 2 minutes to set jelly. 5 dozen.
