GRAHAM NUT TORTE 
2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 heaping tbsp. flour
2 tsp. baking powder

Mix crumbs, flour, and baking powder together. 1/2 c. butter 3 egg yolks

Cream sugar and butter together. Add yolks and beat until creamy.

Add milk and dry ingredients alternately to creamed sugar. 1 c. chopped pecans

Fold egg whites into batter. Add nuts.

Bake 50 minutes at 350 degrees in greased and floured torte pan or bake 25 minutes in 2 (9 inch) cake tins.

Slice torte when cool and put layers together with butter frosting.

BUTTER FROSTING:

1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. Kahlua or coffee
1 lb. powdered sugar

Cream butter, vanilla, and coffee. Gradually cream in sugar. If necessary, add more coffee for correct consistency.

(Makes adequate frosting - but not generous.)
