SPICY BURGERS 
SPICY BURGERS:

1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. bulk pork sausage
1 1/4 c. Quaker Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
1/4 c. applesauce
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt

For spicy burgers, combine all ingredients; mix well. Shape to form 12 patties. Place on rack of broiler pan or over ash covered coals about 5 inches from heat. Broil 5 minutes; turn. Continue broiling about 4 minutes or until desired doneness.

SAUCE:

1 1/2 c. applesauce
1/4 c. honey
4 tsp. prepared mustard
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Dash of cloves
Lettuce
6 English muffins, toasted, split

For sauce, combine applesauce, honey, mustard and spices; heat. To serve, place lettuce leaf on English muffin half. Top with burger and sauce. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seed; if desired.
