SWEET POTATO COBBLER 
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. grated orange rind
Dash salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 tbsp. butter
6 c. cooked, chopped sweet potatoes
Pastry for 2 crust pie

Combine sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg, cinnamon, orange rind and salt in a saucepan. Combine milk, vanilla and butter. Add to saucepan mixture and bring to boil. Reduce heat and cook about 1 minute stirring constantly. Add sweet potatoes. Cook until potatoes are heated. Divide dough into halves. Roll each half on lightly floured surface to fit the top of baking dish. Line bottom of dish with half of the dough. Cut remaining half into strips. Spoon mixture into greased baking dish. Place strips crisscross across potato filling. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
