GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
6 potatoes
6 slices bacon
1/2 c. onion
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. flour
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. water
3 tbsp. red wine vinegar
Parsley

Cook unpeeled potatoes, cool and slice. Fry bacon leaving 2 tablespoons fat. Add onions and cook 5 minutes. Stir in sugar, salt, flour and pepper. Gradually stir in water and vinegar. Cook and stir constantly until mixture is thick. Gently stir in sliced potatoes and bacon. Heat to serving temperature.
