1 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
3 tbsp. cream
Soda, the size of a pea
1 tsp. vinegar
2 tsp. baking powder
Nutmeg or vanilla
Flour for soft dough

Put cream in a 1/2 cup measure and fill with sweet milk. Put soda in vinegar. Mix all ingredients together, adding flour to make a soft dough. Fry in lard or Crisco.
