1 lb. peanut butter 1 lb. butter 2 lb. powdered sugar CHOCOLATE COATING: 12 oz. bag chocolate chips 1 lg. (8 oz.) chocolate bar 4 to 6 tbsp. paraffin wax, melted Bring peanut butter and butter to a boiling in large saucepan (scorches easy). When it comes to an overall boil, remove from heat and mix in powdered sugar. Quickly shape into balls before mixture cools. For coating melt chocolate in double boiler, add wax and mix well. Then dip balls into chocolate. Let dry on wax paper. Put into freezer to harden for 10 to 15 minutes. Then may be removed to put into candy cups or just plastic bags. Refrigerate until used. Makes about 14 dozen. |
