RAISIN NUT OR OSGOOD PIE | |
4 eggs (don't beat with electric beater) 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 tbsp. melted butter 1 tsp. cinnamon (Oma uses 1/2 tsp.) 3 tbsp. vinegar 1/2 c. sweet milk 1 c. raisins 1 c. chopped pecans Beat eggs by hand and add other ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour into a large 10-inch unbaked crust and cook for 10 minutes at 325 degrees. Lower heat to 300 degrees and cook approximately another 50 minutes. This makes a nice and thick 10-inch pie and you can make 2 small ones with the filling. BUT I always make the big one so it will taste nearly as good as Oma's! |
