DOT'S HONEY JUMBLES | |
The honey adds a very nice flavor and cuts down on the amount of sugar required. 1/3 cup butter, softened 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup honey 1 egg 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp. ginger 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. strong coffee (optional) 1/2 cup dairy sour cream Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream butter, sugar and honey until light. Beat in egg. Add flour, spices, baking soda and salt with coffee (if using) and sour cream and mix well. Roll thin on lightly floured board and cut with 2 3/4-inch doughnut cutter. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes. Submitted by: Dorothy Davis |
