CORN BREAD 
1/2 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. melted lard
1 1/2 c. buttermilk

Grease muffin tins. Mix ingredients, fill muffin tins 3/4 full. Bake at 450 degrees. Put on top rack when muffins start to brown. Makes 8 large muffins.
