SPARERIBS AND CARAWAY KRAUT 
3 lbs. ribs

Season with salt, pepper and brown.

Combine: 1 unpared tart apple, chopped 1 1/2 c. tomato juice 2 tbsp. brown sugar 2-3 tsp. caraway seed

Mix and spoon over ribs. Bake 1 1/2 hours covered at 350 degrees, basting as needed. Skim off fat, add stuffing balls (below) and cook 15 minutes more.

STUFFING BALLS:

1 1/3 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. herb stuffing mix
2 eggs, slightly beaten

Heat together water and butter. Add stuffing mix and toss until moistened. Add eggs. Shape into 6 balls. Place on kraut and cook covered 15 minutes. Serves 6.
