CHOP SUEY | |
2 lb. round steak Cooking oil 3 stalks celery, chopped 3 med. onions, chopped 1 (5 oz.) bottle soy sauce 1 (16 oz.) can bean sprouts 1 lg. can chop suey vegetables 2 tbsp. molasses Flour Cut steak into bite-size pieces. Salt and pepper. Dip in flour and brown in cooking oil. Add celery, onions, soy sauce and juice from bean sprouts and chop suey vegetables. Cook slowly and stir from time to time for about 1 hour. Add bean sprouts and vegetables; cook about 20 minutes longer. Mix molasses and flour, using enough flour to make a thick consistency. Stir into chop suey and cook until thickened. |
