EGG CUSTARD PIE 
3 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. milk
3 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Nutmeg

Melt butter, add milk. Heat to scalding. Beat eggs slightly, add sugar and vanilla. Stir into milk. Strain into a 9 inch pastry shell. Sprinkle on nutmeg. Bake at 475 degrees for 10 minutes, turn oven to 375 degrees. Bake 10 minutes more.
