CRISCO TANGY BARBECUED CHICKEN 
To serve 4.

3 lbs. chicken pieces
1/2 c. regular flour
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. sliced onion
1 med. green pepper, cut in strips
2 c. tomato sauce
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Shake chicken pieces in a bag containing flour, salt, paprika and pepper. In a large skillet brown chicken in hot Crisco. Then cover and cook over low heat for 30 to 40 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet.

Cook onion and green pepper in skillet until soft and light brown. Add tomato sauce, sugar, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce; cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Add chicken to sauce, cover and cook about 20 minute; turn chicken once or twice.
