RHUBARB MERINGUE TORTE 
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. sugar
2 egg yolks
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. nuts

FILLING:

2 egg yolks
1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. flour
4 c. cut rhubarb

TOPPING:

4 egg whites
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Cube butter into dry ingredients. Add nuts and egg yolks. Mix well. Press into bottom and sides of greased 9x13 pan. Pour in filling. Bake 35-40 minutes until just soft.

Beat egg whites, sugar, salt and vanilla. Pour over filling and bake another 15 minutes at 325 degrees.
