SOFT LEMON COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
Yellow food coloring
2 tsp. lemon extract
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 1/2 c. flour

Mix together in above order. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.

Super soft as molasses cookies! Instead of buttermilk I added whole milk and instead of lemon extract I used lemon skin.. Also margarine instead of shortening. I did a picture but here's no picture paste..
