JAM CAKE 
1/2 c. shortening
3 eggs, beaten
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. blackberry jam
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cinnamon
3 or 4 c. flour
1 tbsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp. cloves
1 tbsp. allspice
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. raisins
1 c. black walnuts

Soak raisins and walnuts in warm water for 3 to 4 hours. Mix all dry ingredients together. Add all other ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees in Bundt pan about 1 hour or in layer pan 25-30 minutes. Toothpick checking is best. Frost with Caramel Icing.
