SPECIAL K BARS 
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. light Karo syrup
3/4 c. peanut butter
3 c. Special K cereal
6 oz. chocolate chips
6 oz. butterscotch chips

In heavy saucepan, bring sugar and Karo syrup just to a boil, stirring well. Remove from heat, add peanut butter and stir well. Add 3 cups Special K cereal, mixing well. Pour into buttered 9 x 13 inch pan. Spread evenly. Melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips together, frost bars. Cool, cut, refrigerate until firm. Stores well, can be frozen. Recipe may be doubled, place in jelly roll pan. DO NOT DOUBLE TOPPING.
