ENGLISH MUFFIN BREAD 
2 pkgs. yeast
1 tbsp. sugar
2 c. milk
1/2 c. water
6 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda

Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and soda. Heat milk and water until hot (about 105 degrees). Add to dry mix, beat well. Stir in 2 to 3 cups more flour to make stiff batter.

Spoon into two small bread pans 8x4 inches that have been well greased and sprinkled with cornmeal. Let rise in warm place for 45 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until brown. Remove from pans immediately and cool.
