FRUIT AND COTTAGE CHEESE RING 
1 c. (1 lb.) fruit cocktail
1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime flavored gelatin
3/4 c. ginger ale
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 c. creamed cottage cheese, drained
2 tbsp. mayonnaise
1/4 c. chopped pecans

Drain fruit cocktail. Measure juice and add enough water to make 1 cup. Heat and completely dissolve gelatin this liquid. Remove from heat and add ginger ale.

Divide into two equal parts. Add lemon juice and drained fruit to one part. Pour into 5 1/2 cup ring mold and chill until firm.

Blend together drained cottage cheese and mayonnaise. Add pecans and remaining gelatin. Pour over congealed fruit layer. Chill until firm. Serve on lettuce lined plate with or without a dressing. Serves 8.
