CRACKER JACKS | |
1 gallon unsalted popcorn 1 c. brown sugar (light) 1 stick butter 1 tsp. salt 1/2 c. white syrup 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. baking soda Peanuts or pecans Boil brown sugar, butter, salt, and syrup for 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add vanilla and soda. Stir and pour over popcorn and nuts. Mix well. Put into large, flat pans and place in 250 degree oven for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes. Store tightly closed. |
