PECAN DREAM COOKIES 
1 egg
2 1/2 c. flour or more
1 c. butter (butter)
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
Pecans and Karo syrup

Combine above ingredients. Knead. Make 6 rolls 1 inch in diameter. Roll in wax paper. Put in refrigerator at least 2 hour or more. Slice in 1/2 inch thick slices. Lay on greased cookie sheet, brush each cookie with mixture of 1 egg mixed with 1 tablespoon milk, then top each cookie with pecan half. Bake at 325 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Warm Karo syrup (white) and brush each cookie as you take them from oven. This gives the cookie their glaze.
