CHICKEN OR TURKEY SALAD VERY LOWFAT | |
Cooked chicken or turkey, skin removed Fat free mayonnaise Fat free Thousand Island dressing Lemon juice Garlic salt Green onions, optional Pickles, optional In a food processor (small is best) mince turkey or chicken until texture is fine. Add onions and pickles, if desired, to taste. Remove to a bowl and mix well with fat free mayonnaise and dressing, garlic salt and lemon juice. Taste as you go until it suits you. This basic recipe can be used to stuff celery or tomatoes, eaten as a dip for low fat crackers and pretzels (add some plain, lowfat yogurt for a creamier spread) and used for an almost fat free sandwich filling (delicious on a toasted onion bagel). Louis Rich turkey ham can be substituted for chicken or turkey. |
