QUICK BACON CHEESE BREAD 
10-12 slices of bacon
1 egg
1 1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. bacon drippings
1/2 c. sugar
3 c. self-rising flour (you can substitute 3 c. flour + 3 tbsp. baking powder)
1/2 c. sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 tsp. onion, finely chopped

Fry bacon; drain well. Reserve drippings.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a loaf pan. Combine egg, milk and bacon drippings. Stir in sugar and flour just until moistened. Fold in crumbled bacon, cheese and onion. Pour into loaf pan and bake 45 minutes to 1 hour, until pick comes out clean. Serve warm.
