BAKE HAM WITH PEARS 
1 (5 lb.) can ham
1 (16 oz.) can pear halves
1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 tsp. ground ginger cloves
1/4 c. light corn syrup

Place ham on a rack in oven for 1 hour at 300 degrees using 1 cup water in drip pan. While ham is baking, drain pear syrup into small saucepan. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and ginger. Bring to a boil. Simmer 5 minutes. Arrange pear halves in a shallow dish and brush with part of syrup mixture. Brush ham generously with syrup. Place pear dish next to ham. Bake for 15 minutes or until well glazed.
