OLD FASHIONED TEA CAKES | |
1 egg 2 c. sugar 1 c. cooking oil 1/2 c. sour milk and 1 tsp. baking soda, mixed together 1 tsp. vanilla 2 to 3 cups flour - work into above mixture until able to handle dough. I pour mine onto cookie sheet and pat thin. Bake at 350 degrees. Cook until golden brown. Watch and not overbake. This recipe is over 100 years old, when folks used cups and spoons; not measuring ones - as we have. |
