SHRIMP PATE | |
1 lb. shrimp, boiled and peeled 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/8 tsp. nutmeg 1/8 tsp. mace 1 egg, beaten 2/3 c. white wine 6 tbsp. butter, softened Grind shrimp in blender, turning off and on to make sure all shrimp are finely ground. Add salt, pepper, nutmeg, mace, egg and wine. Mix. Add butter, mixing well. Place in a lightly greased 2-cup mold or baking dish and bake in 350 degree oven for 50 minutes. Chill; unmold and serve with crackers. 1/2 teaspoon thyme and 2 tablespoons minced onions may be substituted for nutmeg and mace. |
