1 stick of butter
4 cloves garlic, finely diced
1/2 tsp. ground chili pepper
1 c. grated cheese (combination of Cheddar, Swiss, Romano)
1 loaf French bread, sliced diagonally

Preheat broiler. Combine butter, garlic and chili pepper in saucepan over low heat. Brush onto bread. Sprinkle cheese on bread and place on baking sheet. Place under broiler until cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
