ROADHOUSE CHILI | |
4 lbs. ground beef 1 lg. onion, chopped 1 green pepper, chopped 2 cloves garlic, crushed 2 1/2 tbsp. butter 3 tbsp. chili powder 1/2 c. water 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce 2 can (16 oz.) tomatoes undrained salt and pepper to taste 3 can kidney beans undrained Brown ground beef in a heavy skillet with onions, green peppers, garlic and butter; drain. Add all of the other ingredients except the beans. Simmer for 45 minutes, add more water as needed. Add beans and simmer an additional 20 minutes. Spoon chili into bowls and serve. Yield: 8 servings. |
