PORK CAKE 
1 lb. of pork fat or lard
1 pt. of strong coffee
4 c. brown sugar
1 lb. of raisins
1/2 lb. nuts, chopped
7 c. all purpose flour
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp. baking soda
Pinch of salt

Pour pork fat or lard into hot coffee. Cook on low heat until lard melts. Add other ingredients, sugar, spices, soda and flour. Add nuts and raisins last. Bake one hour on 350 degrees. Soak in cheesecloth drenched with grape juice for 2 weeks. Keep cloth moist but not too wet.
